CHRIS HAYES

Chris Hayes, one third of CYPHER Films was born of Italian and Irish heritage. He started his journey into entertainment at Edward R. Murrow H.S. in Brooklyn NY. Here he was part of over a dozen productions. Including “Little Shop of Horrors” for which he served as Technical Director. Chris was given an opportunity to command a crew as well as draft designs for the implementation of the set. Chris Hayes, Dean Barry and FRANKLYN had time over the four years in Murrow to develop an unspoken work ethic.
After his H.S. career Chris was accepted to the prestigious Design Technology and Film program at Purchase College. Purchases’ high stakes, fast paced schedule molded him into the professional he is today. Chris became the youngest person to hold each position, that a Technical Direction major can hold in Purchase. He garnered the respect and admiration of his peers as well as the faculty.

Not only did Chris maintain a high college average but every summer he would work at the Central Park Summer Stage. These summers of working with established acts raised the level of Chris’ productions skills while allowing Dean and Franklyn to mingle with industry professionals. Chris was poised to be the first to take a step into the world of professional entertainment.

After college Chris’ talents took him across the country with the Vietnamese Water Puppet Theatre. Chris was responsible for the transportation, maintenance, set up and strike of the production for it‘s run. His experiences there contributes towards our plans for a national tour of “Last Night in Brooklyn“.

Upon his return Chris began working at Showman fabricators an industry leader for theatrical instillations. Chris’ work with Showman has ranged from Live events such as the NYC New Year’s 2000 Celebration to Multiple television shows and news programs. After years of working on high level productions, Chris was honored with three Emmy Awards for HBO.

Now in addition to his rigorous schedule, Chris brings his years of experience to our productions in CYPHER Films . As one third of CYPHER Films management, Chris brings professionalism and experience to the table and will be a key component to our success.
